A Qualitative Study on the Experience of Online Psychodrama Participation Using Videoconference

Abstract

|
This study is a qualitative study on the experience of participating in online psychodrama using videoconference. The participants were six psychodrama experts who participated in online psychodrama using Zoom from August to October 2020, and analyzed by Giorgi¡¯s descriptive phenomenological research method. The results of the study showed that 7 components and 18 sub-components were derived, and the components were ¡®new challenge¡¯, ¡®expanding meeting¡¯, ¡®participation with a light mind¡¯, ¡®time of healing¡¯, ¡®degradation of group cohesion¡¯, ¡®difficulty due to lack of experience¡¯, and ¡®discovery of growth potential¡¯. This study showed that online psychodrama by videoconference conducted recently in Korea could develop, and it is meaningful in that it proved that online psychodrama have healing effects.
